When your customers have lost all their keys for a 2019 Toyota Corolla, you can use the Abrites Vehicle Diagnostics Interface (AVDI) to program new keys efficiently. Follow this step-by-step guide to complete the key programming process successfully.
What You’ll Need
Before you start, make sure you have the right equipment:
- AVDI unit with a valid AMS.
- Abrites TN014 Special Function.
- ProTag programmer.
- Abrites TA64 HT-AES emulator.
- A new key compatible with the vehicle.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Connect Your Equipment
Start by connecting the AVDI unit to your laptop via USB, then plug it into the vehicle’s OBD port. You’ll also need to connect the ProTag programmer to your laptop.
2. Software
Once everything is set up, open the Abrites Toyota Software.

- Select the Toyota Corolla from the vehicle list.

- The software will automatically detect the vehicle.
- Next, go to the Key Learning section and select Learn Keys.

3. Prepare the Master Key
- At this point, you’ll need to prepare a master key. Follow the on-screen instructions and insert the Abrites TA64 HT-AES emulator into the ProTag programmer. This sets up the emulator as a master key, so you can program new keys.

4. Program the New Key
- Now it’s time to program the new key. Click Key Learn to start the procedure.
- Then, touch the Start/Stop button with the master key (the TA64 emulator) and then with the new key.

- Once the software confirms that the new key has been successfully programmed, click Finish to complete the process.

5. Test the New Key
- Test the new key to make sure it works. Try starting the car, locking and unlocking the doors, and checking all functions. If everything is working as expected, you’re done!
All Set and Ready to Drive
With the new key programmed and tested, your customer is back on the road. The Abrites AVDI system makes the process smooth, efficient, and professional from start to finish.
